Embedded Software Developer

Tasks:

  • Design, development and programming and improving of complex algorithms and software functions in the field of vehicle electronics and in particular electro-mobility according to Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262.
  • Responsibility for the design, implementation, review and test of one or more control unit functions on the software level.
  • Specification and design of software requirements and architectures.
  • Configuration, adaptation and integration of basic and standard software.
  • Testing software, beginning from SW-Unit tests up to HW-SW-integration tests. 

Profile:

  • University degree (i.e. Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science).
  • Fluent in English, German would be an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in embedded software development. Experience with microcontrollers (8,16 and 32 bits) and x-core processors. Experience in the automotive industry preferable, but not obligatory.
  • Knowledge of C programming language (MISRA), serial networks and communication protocols (e.g. UDS, CAN, LIN); UML-Design (e.g. Rhapsody); tool chain for static code analysis (Astree); knowledge of tool chains used in the automotive industry (iSystem debugger, Vector Davinci, PTC Integrity)
  • Able to deal with functional conflicts, is flexible, customer and goal oriented and willing to work in a team.
  • Can convey knowledge and act as a trainer.

System Engineer

Tasks:

  • Create requirement and architecture specifications on a system and component level based on the client requirements.
  • Define, adjust and, when needed, alter the technical requirements of components / modules according to client's specifications, and coordinate the change with internal departments.
  • Develop concepts for electronic components / modules and ensure their feasibility.
  • Design and assess functional solutions and coordinate with internal / external development partners (management of the system team).
  • Lead design and safety analysis (e.g. FMEA, FMEDA and FTA) and review development progress.
  • Define interfaces at the system level and between subsystems.
  • Perform design work (e.g. design of components / modules with a variety of functions), taking into account different constraints (e.g. function, weight, installation, economic aspects, etc.).

Profile:

  • University degree (i.e. Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science).
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the field of Requirements Management or System Engineering or 3+ years of experience in development in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of development processes according to A-SPICE.
  • Knowledge of system engineering methods.
  • Knowledge of requirements management methods.
  • Basic knowledge of functional safety according to ISO26262.
  • Fluent in English, German would be an advantage.

Automotive Functional Safety Engineer

Tasks:

  • Define system safety requirements based on the client requirements and general safety concepts following the ISO26262 standard
  • Create procedures for safety analyses according to the ISO26262 standard (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, FMECA)
  • Lead and conduct safety analyses (e.g. FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, FMECA) on projects
  • Create technical safety concepts, system requirement specifications and system architecture specifications in collaboration with related departments
  • Review and evaluate development progress (FMEA/FTA, system architecture and specifications) and introduce corrective measures when necessary
  • Contribute to the A-SPICE and System Engineer workgroups to support definition and optimization of internal standards and processes with focus on functional safety

 Profile:

  • University degree (i.e. Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in related field preferred in the automotive industry
  • Expert level of  knowledge of functional safety (ISO26262)
  • Expert level of  knowledge of FMEA and safety analyses
  • AFSP certificate would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of functional and technical safety concepts for ASIL A-D according to the ISO26262 standard
  • Knowledge of system development processes for E/E systems, as well as knowledge of hardware and software development
  • Fluent in English, German would be an advantage.
